improving teleport performance by cable

i don t know if this is a stupid question, im a beginner on this, so please dont mind ;)

as far as i use teleport it works wire less.

im connecting a new macbook pro 2ghz core i7 with a powerbook g4 1,67ghz, so im using tp 1.0.1.
the performance of the cursor is not always fast and precise. i m wondering if the performance would improve if i use a firewire cable or any other kind of cable??

Not sure if you ever figured this out but for anyone who has a similar problem as this, here's my take on it. When I used teleport over wireless sometimes the mouse was jerky with a slight lag. I turned off wireless and plugged both machines into ethernet and it worked far better with no lag whatsoever. So my guess is connecting with firewire would help as well.
