General Talk / improving teleport performance by cable

hi there
i don t know if this is a stupid question, im a beginner on this, so please dont mind
as far as i use teleport it works wire less.
im connecting a new macbook pro 2ghz core i7 with a powerbook g4 1,67ghz, so im using tp 1.0.1.
the performance of the cursor is not always fast and precise. i m wondering if the performance would improve if i use a firewire cable or any other kind of cable??
